A guy came up to me asking me for money. Appearently he'd left his debit card at home. I gave the money to him, $8. I don't know why I'm dwelling on it but...I'd like to believe he really needed the money but the more I think about it, the more I feel stupid.

I think I gave it to him because he threw me off guard and I was a little spooked and I am a bit of a pushover.

Though I didn't notice until later, I think his breath smelled like alcohol. If he needed the money, couldn't he call one of his friends?

I hate dwelling, but I can't help it.

I've done that before too. In my case it was more to get the guy to leave me alone, partly. It was also because I was in a line and he was going down that line begging people. I felt horrible for the guy.

I don't think you're a pushover or a fool, but it shows you're generous with a charitable heart.
