With all of these superhero movies coming out, you'd think I'd be overjoyed. Part of me is. But the realistic part knows that the director or some person in connection with the movie is going to butcher it to pieces in an attempt to squeeze money out of it.

You wanna squeeze money out of it?

--Make the characters the way they were written in the comic books. Don't fuck with their origins. Yeah, I will give some leniency for some things but...come on. Catwoman? You know it was going to bomb! You just stuck the name of a popular character onto another one and dare to call it a watchable movie. Granted, I haven't actually seen the movie (though I will soon), but the whole concept you know is going to piss off a lot of fanboys and girls. Call her something else. Don't stick a chick in leather and put a whip on her and pretend like that's all it's going to take to sell. Which brings me to my next point:

Style and substance:
--A lot of the people who make comic book movies...they're not comic book fans. The actors aren't. Some of them haven't even read a comic book. They don't have the same love for it that the fans do. I know a lot of the 'pretty people' don't read them but...if you're going to audition for something, read about your character! I can't tell you how many interviews I've read where the actor says they didn't read a comic book because they wanted to make the character their own or have it go with that story. Give me a fucking break! The comic book is what the story is about. Okay?

They just make the movie about tights and capes most of the time. You don't feel a sense of unity within that world. And then on the flipside, they might make the secret identity side of the person more than the caped.

Good example of balance: Spider-Man;(MAYBE) X-Men (special circumstance, and Singer's a fan so he knows what the hell he's doing.)
Bad: Batman, the Hulk, ad infinitum...

Please let Batman Begins be better. DC, you need a hit. Marvel does too but...

The worse you get...the superhero movie genre's going to flame out and where will us fankids be? Listen to your fans, movie people.

And now, for something completely different...

Salads. Yes, salads. Those green leafy things you eat when you wanna "be healthy."

The fast food industry has decided they want salads too. Good for them...except when you get the final product.

A Sonic salad? Avoid like the plague. The lettuce is gross and yellow and limp. There's not enough chicken. An onion ring with your salad? Ew. Spend your $5ish dollars on something else. Or get some onion rings if you bought it for that.

McDonalds, I love their salads. There's a ton of different kinds of lettuce. It's green and lush and yummy with the chicken. Now I got the bacon and ranch. Which was good. And filled me up. Do they still sell the pedometers if you get a "happy meal?"

On a non salad note...Fruit and Yogurt Parfait? *drool* My god, their vanilla yogurt is yummy. I don't care for the blueberries but the strawberries and granola is quite yum.

Anyway, back to salads.

Now, this isn't a fast food chain, per se, but Bennigans has very good salads too. I've had theirs on three separate occasions. The salads are HUGE. So's the chicken. They have ample chicken so you won't feel cheated.

On more other items from non fast food chain foods too...Chili's? Eh...I've had 3/4ths good experience with them. Their sandwiches seem greasy to me. I tried steak and mashed potatoes and like veggies. Mashed potatoes were great but their steak was like...too much fat. And it was itty bitty. I think I got a top serloin. I can't remember.

I haven't tried any other places salads, but Wendy's LOOKS good, from what I saw. I haven't tried it yet, however. Not sure how almonds and mandarin oranges'll taste in my salad.

Oh, and if anybody has a Bahama Bucks (a snow cone place) where they live, try their pina colada flavored snowcone with toasted coconut (vanilla and coconut). It's great. And the pina colada straight up is good too.

Caffiene makes me feel better. And I'm out. Until I find something else to say I shall remain...

I understand the rant about comic book based movies, but did you really just rant endlessly about salads? Yes. Yes, I believe you did.

*could not be prouder*

I've always wanted to eat a 'real' salad with nuts and fruit, but the mere thought of it almost scares me.
