The Joy of Appreciating the Little Things

My boss laughed at me because he says I get so easily excited about lunch and stuff (come on, it was a GOOD lunch)...But I get easily excited about everything.

I don't take for granted when things turn out good or when good things happen...If I have a good lunch, I'm extremely happy about it. If I'm around friends, ditto. It's like it all locks into place...Like it flows well.

When I buy new things at the store...it doesn't matter what new thing it is, I'm excited about it because it is now in my life and I can use it. I just...do.

I can't explain it. It's fun.

What is the point of life if you're not living it? What is the point of not being fascinated by the wonders that come with life, no matter how small? The little joys?

If you can't do that...it's sad. You're only here for a certain amount of years and then you're gone. Constantly waiting for the next big giant thing instead of appreciating what you have is just...It doesn't feel right.

I mean you can get excited about the giant things, duh...I'm just saying...be happy with what you have. What's going right right now. Bad stuff can happen but it isn't always going to be that way. It'll pass. It might not seem like it..but it will.

Find joy in whatever you can.

Also: I'm going to be Batgirl for Halloween. Yay!
